Getting hired is free. There’s no fee per job and no commission taken from your pay. Whoever hires you pays 2% on top, so the amount you agree to is the amount that reaches you.

No. You sign in with your face, and amounts show as the number and the coin, like 400 USDC, which is worth 400 US dollars. There’s nothing extra to buy and no network fee to pay.

A job only becomes “proven” when it was paid for up front, finished, and signed off by someone who was there. To get paid, you verify your passport or national ID once, and one document holds one account at a time. Faking a history would mean paying for real jobs with real money, which costs more than doing the work.

Verifying is optional to join, and it’s what lets you get paid. Your phone reads the chip and proves you’re one real person who isn’t on a sanctions list. We never receive your name, photo or date of birth, and the document never leaves your phone. Together with your recovery words, it’s also how you get your account back if you lose your phone.

Before a job is awarded, a hirer sees at most your skills, verified level, rating and a rough distance, never your name, CV file, past employers or address. Once you’re awarded a job, you decide what to share in the job’s chat. The job’s exact address is shared with you there, and nowhere else.

Tap Pause and your listing is deleted from search right away. Your proven history stays on your record, ready for when you’re open to work again.

No. Cofferdam is not a bank, doesn’t hold your money and isn’t FDIC-insured. Each job’s pay is locked for that job until it’s signed off, and moving money out of your account always needs your face. One exception, so you know it up front: while Cofferdam is new, Cofferdam Inc. settles disputes. If a hirer and a worker disagree about a job, we can split that job’s locked pay between the two of them, and only within the dispute window. We aren’t neutral: we want workers to come back. If we don’t decide in time, the worker is paid in full.

Send your money to any outside account whenever you like, confirmed with your face. There’s no closure form, no notice period and no exit fee, and your proven work history stays yours.

Yes, and it’s the same account. There’s no separate app. Describe the job in a sentence, name a price (50 USDC or more), verify your passport before your first job, and confirm. The pay is locked before anyone is asked. Approving the work pays the worker. If you never sign it off, they’re paid once the deadline passes, and either of you can raise a dispute.
